The main idea with this guitar is you get a Les Paul at just over 7 pounds! The pickups are the legendary 496R in the neck and very powerful 500T in the bridge. I first experienced the 500T in the SG X model and it's a great pickup. These get a weight relieved mahogany body with carved maple top. It's matched with a 60s slim taper mahogany neck with ebony
