He wished to avoid the pain of having to discuss the book repeatedly in public, and therefore used the pseudonym, N. W. Clerk. Clerk, N. W. [C. S. Lewis]. A Grief Observed. The Seabury Press. Greenwich, Connecticut. 1963. 60pp. A very good copy, bound in cloth, and very solid. Pages are bright and clean, with minor
