Alvah Sabin [1793 1885]. Sabin was pastor of the George, VT Baptist Church for 53 years, during which there were a series of protracted revivals. These are recorded in the present volume some detail. Additionally, he was a significant voice in Vermont in support of the abolition of slavery. He was friends with William Lloyd Garrison, who invited him to speak at the Anti Slavery Society in 1833, etc.
